After a rough pandemic delayed start, our first episode of Pawz TV is now ready to air!
Pawz TV is hosted by Brittnei Schaeffler and our first episode focuses on kids and will include Sam’s Journey, an educational story by Deborah Turner that has been taught in the Long Beach Unified School District for many years. Sam’s Journey teaches kids how to be kind to –and take care of — our animal friends.
Episode 1 will also feature the heartwarming story of Saving Sandy, the poodle mix that broke her leg. You’ll also learn more about Friends of Long Beach Animals and our involvement in the community through Food Drives and Pet Wellness Events. Pawz TV will initially air on Spectrum cable (Channels 181 or 1310) in the greater Los Angeles area to reach over 1.6 million homes.
The show will also be released on social media like the Pawz TV YouTube channel, Facebook, and Instagram TV. We are also available on Roku (see below).
The show is produced by an all volunteer staff and is directed by FOLBA board member Tom Hanberg. If you’d like to volunteer to help with this community outreach program, or have content ideas to share, please contact us. You can also help support our program by donating to FOLBA by texting PAWZTV to 44321.
