FOLBA Assisting Adoptions At The LA Auto Show

Friends of Long Beach Animals was once again one of the featured nonprofits at the Subaru booth at the Los Angeles Auto Show from November 17th – 26th.

FOLBA, along with Sparky and the Gang also from Long Beach brought several dogs and puppies to the specially designed dog adoption zone at the Subaru booth.

FOLBA Offering Free Vet Care With Adoptions in July

FOLBA is offering free virtual vet care and an emergency fund of up to $3,000.

We’re excited to announce that during the month of July any dog or cat adopted from City of Long Beach Animal Care Services will get a FREE year of unlimited access to a vet team and a $3,000 pet emergency fund!

FOLBA Offering Free Microchipping For Your Pet

In time for the 4th of July when so many pets go missing, FOLBA is offering FREE microchipping for your dog or cat! Please take advantage of this opportunity if your pet is not currently microchipped.

It may mean the difference of being reunited with your pet or not. Pass on this information to everyone you know so we can microchip as many pets as possible in Long Beach and the surrounding areas.

FOLBA Receives Generous Donation from Timmons Subaru

When you think of pet friendly car companies, which manufacturer comes to mind? I’m going to bet it’s Subaru!  FOLBA was honored to be the recipient of this year’s Share The Love Event Charity Donation.

Thanks to Timmons Subaru of Long Beach FOLBA received a super generous donation of $40,000 to help the animals in our community.

FOLBA was recently featured on Things Green with Nick Federoff which airs on PBS in Southern California. Join us to learn more about the Long Beach Animal Care Shelter and FOLBA’s mission.

FOLBA President Lauren Campbell talks with Nick and takes you throughout the Long Beach Animal Care Shelter.  In addition, FOLBA Treasurer Larry Blunden visits with Nick as they tour FOLBA’s donated Veterinary Clinic at the shelter.

Cat Transportation: FOLBA Donates Vehicle Funds for Rescue

Friends of Long Beach Animals (FOLBA), established many nine lives ago in 1989, is Long Beach’s most venerable pet-welfare and philanthropic organization.

The organization again lived up to its name on July 6, when they donated funds to The Little Lion Foundation and its subsidiary, The Long Beach Little Paws Project kitten nursery, to buy their very own Ford Transit to shuttle their furry little charges back and forth to vet appointments and rescues.

Saving Sandy: How Your Support Helps Injured and Sick Animals

FOLBA out meeting the community at Pet Supplies Plus 1 Year Anniversary

On Saturday May 1st Friends of Long Beach Animals was out at the Los Altos Pet Supplies Plus helping the pet store celebrate their 1 year anniversary.

Along with Long Beach Animal Care Services, FOLBA was meeting members of the community and sharing information about their mission.   Some video recording from the Pawz TV crew was also happening and a video of the event is expected to be released soon.
